J. Patrick Lewis has challenged us to write a zeno this month. What's a zeno, you ask? Click HERE for details.
To join in the fun, send yours to TodaysLittleDitty (at) gmail (dot) com, or use the contact form in the sidebar to the right. All zenos will be included in the wrap-up celebration on October 31st, and one lucky participant will win a copy of Pat's gorgeous, new, "best of" collection:

It doesn't get much better than "wraps/careful zig-zag/deathly/traps," Margaret! I'll be sure to admire from a distance, however.
ReplyDeleteDislike spiders very much, but loved your Zeno!
ReplyDeleteDelightfully creepy Zeno, Margaret!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feature and the shout out for my student's zenos that Emaze! This has been a fun challenge.
ReplyDeleteGreat rhythm and rhyme!
ReplyDeleteIt's Nephila clavipes! One of my favorite spiders--love this poem and that you included the zig-zag in its trap.
ReplyDeleteWhen I started to compose this zeno, I put in the first line "(a type of spider)" and later googled spiders. When I found this one with 8 syllables, I was excited to use it because we had one on our classroom window last year that became a sort of class pet named Daisy.
DeleteDaisy Nephila Clavipes. I love it. LOL.
DeleteThis one is terrific. I love the "catching stupid insects" lines. Thanks for sharing it here.
