DMC: "Fountain" by Margaret Simon

Splashes shimmer
I wonder if coins
Hide, waiting for a hand to hold

  1. I am such a fan of short poetry! This is wonderful--thanks so much for sharing, Michelle!

  2. Love the imagined thought of all those coins. Thanks Margaret and Michelle.

  3. I love the idea of treasure hiding beneath the shimmering surface. The whole quality of this poem shimmers, Margaret.

  4. Thanks for featuring my little ditty today. Feeling proud!

  5. Margaret, this is beautiful! I love that shimmer, and I like the way I can read that last line as either a continuation--with the hand holding the coin as a treasure--or as its own idea, as a definition of holding hands/friendship itself being the treasure. Love it!
