I am loving this creepy cinquain, Tamera, though it freaks me out to think it is based on an actual memory! Love "oar-length" and of course the power-packed punch at the end. Thanks so much for taking part this month!
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me participate in Laura's DMC challenge, Michelle. Yes, this was an imagined version of real events...Laura's alligator tales brought the barracuda memory up from the shadows!
ReplyDeleteNice! The form of the poem works well with the tension created via the storyline. Well done.
ReplyDeleteNot sure which I like better, the title or the punchline.
ReplyDeleteOh, my imagination is soaring! It's terrific, but I really love the title!
ReplyDeleteGreat!
