DMC: "Ducklings" by Buffy Silverman

Ducklings
paddle webbed feet,
pitching like fishing floats–
Mama's quacks reel them to her safe
harbor.

  4. Pitching like fishing floats, I've seen these babies in a nearby pond, so cute and fun.

  5. So clever, Buffy, I like that ending, 'safe/harbor'. The mother ducks do seem so aware of where their little babies have waddled to.
