DMC: "An Umbrella-Floating Day" by Breighlynn
AN UMBRELLA-FLOATING DAY
An umbrella-floating,
wind-howling,
color-observing day.
It is a sun-shining,
hawk-squawking,
umbrella-looking day.
Yesterday was a rain-falling,
person-frowning,
cloud-covering day.
Tomorrow will be a book-reading,
computer-typing,
person-silent day.
I want to be a queen-smiling,
sun-shining,
notebook-writing friend.

ReplyDeleteWonderful, Breighlynn!
ReplyDeleteA book-reading,
computer-typing,
person-silent day sounds perfect to me.
Even more so if I had a queen-smiling,
sun-shining,
notebook-writing friend like you to write with. :)
Many thanks to you and Mrs. Simon for sharing your beautiful poem with us!
Thanks to Mrs. Simon for sharing my challenge and Breighlynn's wonderful answer to it. I love the details she's included, and the picture she paints from one day to the next, as well as her own aspirations!
