DMC: "The Escape" by Janie Lazo

THE ESCAPE

An empty cage- a door agape
One hamster gone- a great escape
A frantic search- no clues in sight
No fond farewell - a senseless plight
For safe and sound- one hamster sat
Guarded closely - by our cat

  1. Did this really happen, Janie? I can't help but wonder if there might have been an ulterior motive? In my imagination, there is a distinct glint in this cat's eye. Great job!

  5. This actually happened. The cat had him cornered but didn't hurt him. After this incident the cat would always lay by the cage when we left.
