DOLLY

You thought I was asleep
But I peeked from beneath the sheets
And saw you move

  4. This was a fun poem to write. When I was young, I was terrified that my dolls would come to life while I was asleep. I would always tuck them in nicely and make sure the covers weren't over their faces., That way, if they ever came to life that would be like "this little girl takes care of us, we won't hurt her...this time."

  5. Another quick creepy doll story. I once found a pile of doll torsos and another pile of their pulled off appendages in my then 3-year-old's room. I asked her why she did this and she said "So they don't get up and walk around at night, Mommy."

    1. Your killin' me with these stories, Rebecca! Funny how the doll anxiety passed down from mother to daughter, but you each dealt with it in your own ways! Gotta love your 3-year-old's proactive solution. :D
