INSTRUCTIONS TO A CAMERA
Find good light,
perfect angles.
Blur your focus,
soften scars,
furrows of frowns,
deep crow’s feet.
Catch a dazzling
twinkle of mischief
in sunlit eyes, bright
smile on pouty lips.
Pause a moment.
Ready…

ReplyDeleteI do love, "catch a dazzling twinkle." That's the prize isn't it? What we love years later when we look back at the photos.
ReplyDeleteThis is very cute. I wish my camera would "Blur your focus,
ReplyDeletesoften scars, furrows of frowns, deep crow’s feet." Thanks for the clever poem.
I'm going to try this as a spell. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThe twinkle and the pout, catching the candid moments is the best part of photography. Great poem Dianne.
