Snow day, a home day.
Facebook travels fail
my bucket list dreamings
of treks through mountain forests,
Swims through blue green waters.

Margarita Engle has challenged us to write a tanka this month. She suggests we think of it as a five-line travel diary about a subject of our choice. Click HERE for more details.
Send your tanka to TodaysLittleDitty (at) gmail (dot) com, or use the contact form in the sidebar to the right. All contributions will be included in a wrap-up celebration on March 27th. One lucky participant will win an autographed copy of Margarita's delightful new picture book:

ReplyDeleteLove the daydreamy quality of this, Linda. Even if I can't relate to the snow day, I can certainly relate to being stuck in front of the computer, superficially to do work, but my brain rides me off into the sunset instead.
ReplyDeleteAh, I miss snow days. This is a sweet memory.
ReplyDeleteWe can still have snow, but snow days unlikely. You've made me wonder how many students 'travel' on a screen.
