DMC: "Peppermint's Gratitude" by Tabatha Yeatts

Peppermint's Gratitude

My scent is sent
to salute you --

a clear cloud
of praise,

a tribute to you
for my roots,

and veins.

I push out --

my rough edges
reach for your rays,

striving to be
closer to you

all my days.

  1. Wonderful job capturing this plant's feelings and making them our own. A beauty of a poem, Tabatha!

  2. Thanks, Michelle and Irene! This was a fun prompt. :-)

  3. Ah, the patience of mint, right? It's lovely, Tabatha, fun to hear about the mint's gifts.

  4. Mmmm, I can almost smell/taste the peppermint! I am grateful for Tabatha's minty fresh brilliance. Brava! = )

  5. Lovely praise of the sun. I can smell the mint.
