DMC: "Maltese at Six O'Clock" by Mindy Gars Dolandis
MALTESE AT SIX O'CLOCK
Beneath a sun-peaching sky
mini Marshmallow stroll-patroller
surveys his territory
yippy-yapping at all trespassers
secures dominion over
his home, yard, and grass-kissed sidewalk

Mindy, I love this simple, everyday moment that you've captured so beautifully—the sun-peaching, the grass-kissed sidewalk, and of course that adorable mini Marshmallow yippy-yapper!
ReplyDeleteLove the scene you've captured, Mindy. I can see and hear that yuppy-yapping patroller.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine it clearly, that sweet & dangerous maltese keeps watch. Wonderful, Mindy!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great little moment captured! I can completely see and hear it! Those first two lines especially are ☆☆☆.
