#haikuforhealing 11.26.16

refuge & solace:
today I don't turn on
the news

not by hiding
from the world but by living
widely in it

  5. I love how these haiku come off as a conversation, Heidi, while simultaneously speaking directly to the reader. Thanks for the poetry medicine today. Echoing Jone and the others, it was just what I needed.

  7. Heidi, you and Mary Lee make good partners in helping us use poetry to heal. I will be joining in beginning 12/1. I have had to keep the news off. We have the TV tuned to the Hallmark channel. Even my husband can't watch the news.
