THOSE LETTERS THAT CURL
My granddaughter speaks of school—
favorite activity:
where she can write her stories,
and now use “fancy letters,
the ones with curls at the end.
They make the stories lively.”
She’ll write about her days, put
those she loves into the words,
practicing fancy letters.

ReplyDeleteI worry about those letters that curl not being taught anymore. My own son used to hand me his grandmother's letters (written in cursive) and ask me to read them to him. Lively stories, fancy letter, curls at the end - tell Ingrid that her fancy letters quote makes me smile. I hope to participate this month in the challenge.
