Penny Parker Klostermann has challenged us to write one to four couplets following her example– things we might feed a dragon to avoid being swallowed ourselves.  Click HERE for more details.

Send your couplets to TodaysLittleDitty (at) gmail (dot) com, or use the contact form in the sidebar to the right. All contributions will be included in a whopper of a cumulative poem featured at our wrap-up celebration on Friday, August 28th.  One lucky participant will win a personalized copy of Penny's deliciously funny debut picture book:

  1. Love this, Vivian! I think I'll try my hand out it...although it won't be as good as yours or Penny's!

  2. Yum! I think I want to join Dragon on this swallowing spree...well, I'll skip the bowl and I'll stick with just the cob, husks or silk for me. Thanks for the fun ditty, Vivian!

    1. We can't have hungry old dragons on the loose, can we, Penny?

  3. What fun! Thanks, cool that you posted mine. I hope it keeps Penny's old dragon satisfied for a bit.

    1. My pleasure, Vivian. Thanks for showing us how it's done! I love imagining old dragon chugging gallon bottles of chocolate milk and ending up with a milk mustache.

    2. Maybe Penny's dragon will be in the next 'Got Milk?' commercial. ;)

    1. Thanks,, Julie...I never fed a dragon before, but I hope my selection keeps him busy until tomorrow's offering. ;)

  5. Very cute, Vivian. That should keep the dragon from your door.

  6. Nicely done, Vivian.

Michelle, I really missed Today's Little Ditty during your break. Glad you're back!
