DMC: "Bleep Beep, Android Dog" by Carrie Clickard
Bleep beep, android dog
can you fetch a bone?
Yes sir, yes sir
before it’s even thrown!
Bleep beep, android dog
will you heel and speak?
Yes sir, yes sir
in Martian, French and Greek
Bleep beep, android dog
will you be my pet?
No sir, no sir
I’m not invented yet!

Well I hope someone invents that little fellow soon, 'cause I think I'd like to bring him home with me! Such a joy to read, Carrie, and I love that fun twist at the end.
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute idea and a cute poem.
ReplyDeleteOh, so funny, love "before it’s even thrown!" & of course, your clever ending.
ReplyDeleteI love the question/answer style of this poem! And the tune of "Baa Baa Black Sheep" floats through my head as I read it. Great contribution, Carrie! =)
