I Didn’t SeeWhat I saw,
only in words
a single water
droplet dancing
off the edge of
the maple leaf
a young curious
fox watching
by the rocks of
the pine wood
a soft folding
flower shivering
in its blanket
of pink petals

I'm certainly glad you shared these things you didn't see with the rest of us, Kevin! Such beautiful imagery. I'll be sure to keep my eyes open for similar wonders on my own walk today.
ReplyDeleteTo look and look again brings beautiful things to us we often neglect to "see". Thanks for sharing from your eyes, Kevin.
ReplyDeleteThere is something so simple and beautiful about these lines. Thanks Kevin for sharing your creativity with us.
ReplyDeleteThis poem is a teacher. Such mindfulness in a moment of observation where we capture what is right in front of our eyes that we barely notice. A lovely poem. Janet Clare F.
