Click HERE to read this month's interview with Julie Fogliano. She has challenged us to stare out the window and write a poem about what we see. You might even consider writing something down every day for a week:
At the end of the week, read through what you wrote and write your favorite bits on a separate piece of paper. I bet there will be a poem in there somewhere… see if you can find it. – J. F.Leave your poem on our May 2018 padlet. While some contributions will be featured as daily ditties this month, all contributions will be included in a wrap-up celebration tomorrow, Friday, May 25th, and one lucky participant will win a personalized copy of her stunning new picture book from Roaring Brook Press:
I love your endearing haiku Janie, and especially

Thanks!
Thanks Michelle!
DeleteSweetness. I totally get this (and used those fingerprints to excuse not washing my windows!)
ReplyDeleteThey grow up so fast! Thanks Rebekah :)
DeleteYou sure did pack a lot of love into this little haiku, Janie. :) I, too, like "Window to my heart" and also the clever double meaning of "grand" in the title. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThank you for featuring my poem Michelle! This month’s poems are fantastic.
DeleteEleven words, all that's needed. It's a loving haiku, Janie.
ReplyDeleteAwwww. That is so sweet. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI share the grand view ... this haiku is filled with love! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Perfectly simple and charming.
ReplyDeleteWhen I set out to look out of the window for inspiration I couldn’t see past the smudges left behind by two of my youngest Grandkids. They are a sticky and silly pair that I simply adore!
