DMC: "After a Long Winter's Sleep" by Buffy Silverman
After a Long Winter’s Sleep
Garter snakes awake in spring and
flick their tongues, then
slither-
slide,
poke their heads where
earthworms
hide,
snap and swallow:
worm in-
side!

To join in the fun, send yours to TodaysLittleDitty (at) gmail (dot) com, or use the contact form in the sidebar to the right. All zenos will be included in the wrap-up celebration this Friday, October 31st, and one lucky participant will win a copy of Pat's gorgeous, new, "best of" collection:
I like it, Buffy! The shape of the zeno really conveys the movement of the snakes. Good pick of subject!

ReplyDeleteThanks Margaret, Penny, Matt, Rosi, and Renee--I appreciate your nice comments (and I just noticed that it should have been worms not worm inside--so thanks for not pointing that out!)
