MUMMY PROBLEMS
I’m just an old mummy
in old, dusty wrappings.
My sleeves are all tattered;
my coattails, a-flapping.
They sometimes get snagged
on loose nails or low beams.
And suddenly, I
fall apart at the seams.

Have a safe and happy Halloween!
TLD reader Rebecca Herzog has challenged us to write a poem about something a monster is afraid of. Read my interview with Becky HERE and add your poem about a monster fear to the padlet. Check out our entire monster menagerie HERE.

DeleteHa, nice job!
DeletePoor mummy. (I feel like that some days too!) But what a delightful, tightly-woven ditty to bring our monster fear festivities to a close, Matt. Thanks for joining in!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Michelle!
DeleteI love this. Short and sweet and funny and spooky.
ReplyDeleteThanks, David!
DeleteI didn't get to this yesterday, Matt, & it's wonderful! Yes, 'falling apart' must be quite scary for a mummy!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda!
DeleteNow that's a delightful wrap for the end of your TLD for October, Michelle. I like what Matt wrote. It is humorous and fun. Your photo pairs beautifully.
