1907 Portrait of William Butler Yeats, by John Butler Yeats |
A Drinking Song
by William Butler Yeats
And love comes in at the eye;
That’s all we shall know for truth
Before we grow old and die.
I lift the glass to my mouth,
I look at you, and I sigh.
If you first look at the title, you imagine something else, don't you? And then, you read & it's a wonderful love poem. Nothing nicer, Michelle. Thank you! Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!
